Daily Hours and Breaks:
Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm / 30 min lunch / 37.5 hours per week

We are a large forward-thinking Practice of 16,000 patients, based in excellent modern purpose-built premises. We have a large team of doctors, nurses, ANP's, pharmacists and an extensive administrative team.
Description
- Answering telephones
- Making, amending and cancelling appointments
- Greet and direct patients and visitors
- Making appointments
- Handing out prescriptions and fit notes
- Ensure outstanding queries are explained and handed over to next shift, as necessary
- Respond to needs of doctors and nurses during surgery
- Collect payments from patients for non-NHS services
- Deal with general enquiries
- Filing prescriptions
- Pulling Lloyd George envelopes when requested by doctors
- Dealing with requests for repeat prescriptions
- Raising prescriptions as per Practice protocols
- Dealing with queries relating to repeat prescriptions
- General housekeeping (e.g. keeping reception and waiting areas tidy)
- Take part in the Practice Appraisal process at least once annually or as required
- Be up to date with all mandatory training
- Attend Practice meetings as deemed necessary
- Any other reasonable duties that may be required from time-to-time
- Taking detailed, accurate messages where necessary
- Stationery inventories to ensure all stock is up to date and ordering more when necessary including printer consumables
- Arranging the recycling of printer consumables and batteries
- Managing and distributing all incoming and outgoing post and couriers
- Photocopying, Laminating and Filing
- Providing support to registrations team during busy times
- Providing support to reception during busy periods – see reception duties
- Stocking up paper trays
- Stocking up prescription paper and maintaining prescription stock checks
- General housekeeping (e.g. keeping reception and waiting areas tidy)
- Updating and tidying noticeboards
- Stocking up tea, coffee and sugar and ordering more when necessary
- Take part in the Practice Appraisal process at least once annually or as required
- Be up to date with all mandatory training
- Attend Practice meetings as deemed necessary
- Any other reasonable duties that may be required from time-to-time
- Processing registrations and registration administration

Educational Requirements
GCSE Maths grade 4-9
GCSE English grade 4-9
